Today I am taking a train from Ulan-Ude, my hometown, to nearby Irkutsk (according to the Russian standards, 7 hours train ride is very close). Then in the middle of the night flying from Irkutsk to Beijing to attend the Yenching Global Simposium 2017 at Peking University. Unfortunately, there is only one flight per week from Ulan-Ude to Beijing, so I have to take this detour.
The Symposium starts on the 23rd of March and I am looking forward to the event, which promises to be both insightful and fun. The topic is the “Xinnovation – Identity of Innovation in China” and the speakers list boasts of distinguished entrepreneurs, leaders, academics, and artists from various sectors who are leading innovation in their respective fields.
Hope to get a chance to talk to Mr Li about his views on the New Silk Road…
And here’s the schedule of the Symposium:
Will keep you posted.
