I’m launching a blog, because I was told so.
I’m launching a blog, because I am inspired.
I’m launching a blog, because I always wanted to.
I’m launching a blog, because I have things to share.
I’m launching a blog, because I want to be “out there” in the world-wide-web and write about things I deem important, or interesting, or funny, or all of the above.
I am a first-year PhD Candidate at Freie Univesity in Berlin and I will blog about my PhD journey. I am a linguist/East Asian Studies graduate/international development professional. My research topic is China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) Initiative, also known as Belt and Road Initiative, or New Silk Road.
I hope to better understand OBOR’s implementation in Central Asia and potentially Mongolia, namely the process of projects’ identification, formulation, financing and implementation on the ground from the international/sustainable development point of view. Currently I plan to undertake a Social Impact Assessment of a few selected projects under the OBOR framework, but it might change as my theoretical framework is still “under construction”.
Hope you will find my posts somewhat interesting, or relevant, or maybe even inspiring. Enjoy and do let me know what you think!
